(i) अयस्क
(ii) खनिज
(iii) धातुमल
(iv) गालक
उत्तर-(i) अयस्क-ऐसे खनिज जिनमें धातु की मात्रा अधिक और अशुद्धियाँ कम होती हैं तथा जिनसे धातुओं का
निष्कर्षण कम खर्च में और सुविधाजनक तरीके से किया जाता है, अयस्क कहलाते हैं।
(ii) खनिज-भूपर्पटी में प्राकृतिक रूप से पाए जाने वाले ठोस अकार्बनिक पदार्थ जिनका रासायनिक संघठन
निश्चित होता है और इनके भौतिक गुणों का अनुमान लगाया जा सकता है, खनिज कहलाते हैं।
(iii) धातुमल-गालक, सिलिका से क्रिया कर कैल्सियम सिलिकेट बनाती है जिसे धातुमल कहते है, जो पिघली धातुओं की ऊपरी सतह पर तैरता है जिसे आसानी से धातु से पृथक किया जा सकता है।

उत्तर-छत्तीसगढ़ में पाया जाने वाला लोहे का प्रमुख
अयस्क हैमेटाइट (Fe,0g) है जिसका निष्कर्षण निम्न पदों
के आधार पर किया जाता है।
(i) अयस्क का सान्द्रण-अयस्क को खदानों से प्राप्त
करने के पश्चात् उसे कूटकर महीन चूर्ण में बदला जाता है।
गुरुत्व पृथक्करण विधि द्वारा इसका सान्द्रण किया जाता है।
(ii) ऑक्साइड का धातु में अपचयन-400°C से 900°C ताप के बीच कोक ऑक्सीजन से अभिक्रिया कर
कार्बन मोनोऑक्साइड गैस बनाता है।

कार्बन मोनोऑक्साइड लोहे के ऑक्साइड को आयरन में अपचयित कर देता है।
Fe203 + 3CO→ 2Fe + 3CO2
दर्पण 1 द्वारा वस्तु 0 का प्रतिबिंब 0, पर बनता है। इसी प्रकार दर्पण 2 द्वारा
वस्तु 0 का प्रतिबिम्ब 02 पर बनता है
दर्पण 1 द्वारा दर्पण 2 का प्रतिबिंब दर्पण 1 के पीछे
बनता है। यह दर्पण 2 का आभासी प्रतिबिंब है। यह
आभासी दर्पण 0, पर बने वस्तु के प्रतिबिंब को वस्तु
मानकर उसका प्रतिबिंब 0, पर बनाता है। इसी प्रकार
दर्पण 2 द्वारा बने दर्पण 1 के आभासी प्रतिबिंब द्वारा
आभासी वस्तु 0, का प्रतिबिंब भी 0, पर ही बनता है।
अतः दो लम्बवत दर्पणों के मध्य रखे किसी वस्तु के कुल
तीन ही प्रतिबिंब बनते हैं। अर्थात् किसी वस्तु का प्रतिबिंब
आभासी वस्तु की भाँति कार्य करता है जिसका हम
आभासी प्रतिबिंब प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। कलाइडोस्कोप भी इसी सिद्धांत पर आधारित है।
आप अपने अवलोकनों से पाएँगे कि प्रतिबिंब की संख्या इस बात पर निर्भर करेगी कि दोनों समतल दर्पणों
के बीच का कोण कितना है।
